40yrs ago (July, 20th 1969) Man landed on the Moon. Its one of Man’s greatest achievements and it will for long remain to be one of those things we did that seemed impossible at one time.
To me unlike most people, Space Exploration is still inspiring. Every time I see that Shuttle launch or see a probe being sent out to Space, I get inspired more and more and hope that one day it will be possible for me to experience what Buzz Aldrin calls “The Rocket Experience”.
The Moon landings wouldn’t have occurred without the great Science and Math that went into them. And of course all thanks to the great Scientists and Mathematicians at the time. I believe imagination too played a great role in achieving this great mile storm. To put it plainly, Science, Maths and Imagination have changed our World so much to point that they have become indispensable to us. We simply can’t do without them.
Its sad its taken us such a long time to return to them Moon or even land on Mars but I believe the probes we’ve sent and the research we’ve done during this time will ultimately take us back soon.
In my view, I think we should build Space Crafts that not only take us to the Moon but also to Mars and beyond. We should consider developing technologies that will enable us stay there permanently and probably conquer these new Worlds.
Space Exploration is very fascinating and with the right political will and imagination we can achieve more and as always get inspired more.
